Rogue Yellow Snow IPA ( Newport, OR )

Brewed with Amarillo hops and Two Row Pale, Cara Foam & Melanoiden malts, Yellow snow is pale golden in color (duh!) and has a hoppy fruity aroma and big hop flavor up front. It finishes with a characteristic lingering bitterness.

Rogue Ales was founded in 1988 by Jack Joyce, Rob Strasser and Bob Woodell and the first Rogue brewpub was located in Ashland, Oregon and was a 10bbl brewsystem. A second brewpub, a 15bbl brewsystem, opened in Newport, Oregon in May 1989. Rogue eventually closed its Ashland operation after a great flood destroyed the place. In 1991, the 15bbl system from the Newport brewpub was transferred across the bay to the current brewery at and upgraded to a 30bbl system. In 1998 Rogue bought a 50bbl brewsystem and it is the only brewsystem now in use.
