Magner's Pear Cider ( Ireland )

At Magners, we believe that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right. So the only fruit that goes into our new pear cider is pear. Crazy idea, eh? And not just any old pears. 100% premium quality pears.

Yes, it may have taken a little longer to perfect, but wow, what a difference it’s made in the taste. We cold filter our cider to get rid of any impurities, making it fresher, fruitier and fuller flavoured.

Commercial cider production was started in Clonmel, County Tipperary in 1935, by local man William Magner.[1] Magner bought the orchard from a Mr Phelan from Clonmel. Magner quickly established a successful business, and in 1937 he joined forces with the English cider-makers H. P. Bulmer and Company.[2] Dowds Lane in Clonmel was the location of this burgeoning enterprise.
