Flying Dog Wildeman Farmhouse IPA
( Boulder, CO )

Staying true to its name, Wildeman is a beast of a Farmhouse IPA and has a lot going on. Citrus and spice greet the nose, followed by sharp hop bitterness. Wildeman's a great complement to bold, rich, and spicy dishes, like Schezuan and Thai proteins. It's also great with dark chocolate, especially made with orange peel.

Flying Dog Brewery
The Flying Dog Brewery opened in 1990, the first and only brewery in Aspen, Colorado in over 100 years. A year later, it's first bottled beer, Doggie Style, won the Gold for Best Pale Ale at the Great American Beer Festival. In 1994, the brewery moved to Denver to open at the Broadway Brewery. The new facility allowed for national distribution and expanded brewing capacity by nearly three times. In 1995, the first Ralph Steadman label (for which Flying Dog has become renowned) was introduced with the new Road Dog Ale. Later that same year, Road Dog was removed from Colorado shelves due to the language on the label. Flying Dog (with ACLU support) took it to court. Several additional beers were added throughout the rest of the decade and, in 2000, Broadway Brewing closesdand the Flying Dog Brewery & Pub opened with a newly renovated facility, allowing for a 50% expansion over the next 3 years. The next year, Flying Dog won its court case and the original Road Dog logo was restored.
