Dinkelacker ( Germany )

Pours a clear light golden in color and offers a half inch of white head. Retention and lacing are good, leaving some rings on the glass before surrendering to a surface ring.

An enticing blend of hops and malts on the nose. Richer than many of the style yet offers a clean malt nose.

Dinkelacker was founded by Carl Dinkelacker at Stuttgart's Tübinger Straße in 1888; the company still brews at that location. Although there already were many breweries in the region, by the end of the 19th century Dinkelacker was the largest brewery in Stuttgart, the capital of the Kingdom of Württemberg. Although it is a very different type of beer, people consider Dinkel Acker to be a close second to Beck's beer and it is rising in popularity today in the United States.
