Dinkelacker Dark ( Germany )

Pours a thick, oily dark with little head. Smells and tastes of chocolate with a little hint of coffee. It had a solid body.

Dinkelacker was founded by Carl Dinkelacker at Stuttgart's Tübinger Straße in 1888; the company still brews at that location. Although there already were many breweries in the region, by the end of the 19th century Dinkelacker was the largest brewery in Stuttgart, the capital of the Kingdom of Württemberg. Although it is a very different type of beer, people consider Dinkel Acker to be a close second to Beck's beer and it is rising in popularity today in the United States.
