Belhaven Scottish Ale ( Scotland )

Belhaven Scottish Ale has been brewed at Belhaven longer than any of the brewery's other beers. It is sweeter than its English counterparts, with a balanced malt profile, deep ruby color, and a delicate, dry, peat finish. Belhaven Scottish Ale is brewed with Scottish Chariot Ale malt, Black malt, and Crystal malt, and is hopped with Goldings and Fuggles.

Based just 30 miles east of Edinburgh in the coastal town of Dunbar, Belahaven Brewery is the largest regional brewery in Scotland. It takes its name from a Benedictine monastery located on a nearby island and can trace its commercial activity to 1719.
